Sing Out

We sing the many causes and we protest many wrongs We try to make a diff’rence with our hats and with our songs We fight against indifference and outright prejudice And we work with other folk for peace (point out to the crowd) Chorus: Sing out, sing out with the Grannies Sing out, sing out with the Grannies Sing out, sing out with the Grannies For together we are strong (hold up arms, showing muscles) We celebrate the courage of all ordinary folk Communities that strengthen us and friends to share a joke Survivors of adversity and mental health distress Who, living fully, show us how to give and bless Chorus Our governments must listen to their citizens’ loud pleas Recognize the problems and re-spon-si-bi-li-ties Alleviate the poverty, provide health care for all Homes for the homeless, justice, peace, rights for all Chorus
